Woven — Art i Gavarres

Girona, Spain

In Girona, Atelier DARN, which previously partnered with novinov on RHUBARB, presents Woven at the 9^th edition of the Art i Gavarres festival, from 5 September to 1 November 2026. This temporary installation combines wood with around 700 modular pieces 3D-printed using a miscanthus-based filament. Assembled through interlocking connections, it extends from the forest floor to the trees, like climbing vines. Echoing the theme “Rebrollar”, it explores nature’s cycles of transformation and regeneration. Ràdio Capital and El Gerió Digital report on this edition.

The workshop "Textile in volume: knotting, 3D weaving" took place from July 6 to 10, 2026 at Campus MaNa, conceived by designer Marion Chopineau. This immersive 5-day workshop explored creating textile volumes on the surface through knotting and cords, integrating 3D-printed pieces in novifil PLM-20.

PROTOTYPE #1 — Filæ

Hôtel de l’Industrie - 4 place Saint-Germain-des-Prés, 75006 Paris (FR)

At the first PROTOTYPE exhibition, novinov and Index Office presented Filæ, a pendant light 3D-printed with miscanthus-filled novifil PLM-20. Laid flat like thread on a contemporary loom, the bio-based material forms a lightweight structure that diffuses a naturally golden glow. Read the Blog Esprit Design feature.

From 14 October to 2 November 2025, novinov and designer Elsa Pochat presented their collaboration at Salon Les Nouveaux Ensembliers as part of “Le Bal des matières”. Held at the Galerie des Gobelins, this inaugural edition dedicated to “The Embassy of Tomorrow” brought together new materials, French craftsmanship, innovation and environmental responsibility.

Terres Fertiles

PARIS DESIGN WEEK 2024: the 'TERRES FERTILES' project (Elsa Pochat x BALSAN), from 5 to 14 September 2024. For the event, Elsa Pochat prepares a collection of 3D-printed vases and lighting fixtures from wheat fibre. Their natural colour is that of novifil™ PLM-20, with raw miscanthus fibre blended to a greater or lesser extent with bio-based PLA. It is the furrow lines that give these objects their structure, made in one single stroke by the machine.
